Nicholas Richardson is an English solicitor who has been working in Poland for the last 16 years. He has many years of advising businesses in Poland, particularly in relation to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, finance, real estate and privatization acting for a wide variety of clients from multi-nationals to entrepreneurs. Whether assisting a new investor to take its first steps into the Polish market or working on cross border transactions, Nicholas is known for his practical commercial advice delivered with clarity and humour.
Prior to establishing his own law firm in 2004, Nicholas was a partner with Norton Rose having joined that firm as a partner to establish its Warsaw office. Nicholas is a graduate of Oxford University, where he studied law. He trained at Lovells and following qualification as a solicitor worked at Slaughter and May in the City before coming to Poland in 1994 where he was a partner with Baker & McKenzie.
Nicholas has served as non-executive chairman of two public companies traded on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, and also served on the boards of a number of companies in Poland, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Nicholas is member of The Law Society of England and Wales, is a registered foreign lawyer at the Polish Bar of Legal advisers and is a member of The Institute of Directors in London. Nicholas is vice-Chairman and honorary secretary of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce in Poland.
